2006 Scania P420 Carmichael Viper for Sligo Airport

Image:

This 2006 Scania P420 4x4 Carmichael Viper has been acquired by Sligo Airport from Shoreham in the UK. The appliance is currently being 're-marked' and should be with Sligo Airport in early January 2012.
This will bring to three (3) the number of Vipers in the country, the others being Casement Aerodrome and Galway Airport

Where am I?
Obvious question maybe, but if you call the fire service will they be able to find you quickly? Especially if you're in a rural area, directions need to be clear and understandable. Depending on what county you are in, the control centre you're talking to could be in CASTLEBAR, LIMERICK or DUBLIN, so they may not be familiar with local landmarks.

Is your smoke alarm working? If a fire was to start tonight, will it warn you?
It takes about 20 seconds to test it, just get a sweeping brush handle and press the test button.
Not a whole lot of effort considering it could save you and your families life.

Message from the Webmasters

"The Team" - David Lennox, Eamon Doyle & Eddie Gentles

THANK YOU everyone... Over 'Half a Million' (500,000) 'hits' - and the site is STILL growing. We are amazed at the Worldwide interest which is shown in it.

Without YOU, our visitors, this would not have been possible. I am personally indebted to both Eamon and David. Without their encouragement and input I doubt if the site would be where it is today......thanks lads!

Despite the 'recession' there are several NEW appliances STILL in the pipeline and we hope, with your assistance, to bring photographs of these to you as they come 'on the run'.

We also wish to thank everyone who contributed to the site over the last number of years and hope that this will continue, UPDATED fleet listings are ALWAYS welcome.....even news on ONE new appliance in YOUR area would be a great help.

Information on Drill/Practice nights in ALL areas and actual addresses of fire stations would also be appreciated.

ANY photo's used on the site will be credited with the name of the sender (Anonimity WILL be respected of course).

Thanks again everyone

Eddie (Gentles), Eamon (Doyle) & David (Lennox)
